A rare vintage Taisho-period kamisori by Nihon Taro・日本太郎・literally Taro Japan

It was never used before and just had a few spots that needed restorative attention

The Kamisori was used and you can see that on the Omote side where the previous owner was honing pieces a bit away to make the sharpening easier

Usually these boxes can hold up to 3 pre War Orihi Kamisoris here it was made so that only the Iwasaki Kamisori fits

this is believed to be the largest kamisori currently available on the market — approximately four times the weight of a standard razor
