Mortlach 1992 | 18 Year Old | Old & Rare Platinum Selection
Description
Mortlach 1992 | 18 Year Old | Old & Rare Platinum SelectionSpeyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Bottled by: Douglas Laing 70cl 58. 1% Mortlach at this kind of age form this sort of cask starts to show some really luxurious notes of chocolate, fruit, spice, oranges and oak on top of those unmistakable leathery and sinewy meat qualities. It's big, robust and fairly uncompromising whisky, which is a rare thing these days sadly.
The quality remains constant though and this is a rare chance to get one of these great drams in all its 'Mor'-sized glory
smooth and sweet
Nose: Rounded
Another peated Benriach with a virgin American oak finish
This time only 420 bottles were produced and the whisky again contains stock significantly older than the stated 55 years
One of these wonderful old style Berry Brother's bottlings from the early 1980s
smooth and subtle
These occasional Linkwoods are fascinating alternatives to the 'big four'
Series Select Reserve
was distilled on the 27th of July 1994 and matured in Bodega Sherry European Oak Casks
Just a little waxier and dustier with more green fruit notes underneath
Glen Mhor whisky is occasionally a little weird but not so much that it isn't also extremely drinkable
