Minori ・ みのり ・Japanese Straight Razor・ Kamisori・Restored Unused Vintage ・ Handmade Hinoki Wood Box and Original BoxMinori Vintage unused Kamisori Directly imported from Japan and restored by us to a hair popping quality and sharpness. The razor was made in the early Showa period around 2nd WW and never used before. It comes together with it`s original box and wrapping and one of our Handmade Hinoki Boxes.

Please allow the razor a resting period of 24 hours after each shave so that the microscopic bevel has time to "relax"

The Kanji / Katakana on the Kamisori read as: レザー打 - reza uchi - hand-forged razor玉鋼 - Tamahagane (the special steel is was made from)登録商標 - touroku shohyo - registered trademark (not readable but common is the organisation in a 2x2 block of Kanjis)◇ - The sign of Satomura which is also hard to recognise

Crafted in the scenic Hyogo Prefecture at the renowned Mujun workshop by Master Miyanohara

The blade comes wrapped in white linnen in a Handmade Box made from the Japananese Hinoki tree

Engraved on the lid is an Ukiyo-e woodblock print of Kuniyoshi`s - "Kidomaru" from around 1840

The cutting part is made of high carbon steel and the supporting layer of wrought Iron

Overall length is 253 mm and the weight 49
